Directions: |

| |
In large mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugars. Add remaining ingredients mixing thoroughly. Roll in 3/4 inch ball - roll balls in granulated white sugar and press flat on un-greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for eleven (11) minutes. Let stand for five (5) minutes fefore removing from sheet. |

Chefs note: I personally like to sprinkle the tops lightly with sugar after pressing the cookies flat. The dough can be refrigerated and even frozen, but cooks best at room temperature.
