Directions: |

Combine all dry ingredients in small bowl and set a side. Pat fillets dry with paper towels, then lightly brush fillet with vegetable oil on both sides. Sprinkle rub on both sides, let stand for 15 minutes. Prepare your ABS grill, allowing your charcoal to burn down slightly. This recipe needs to be cooked over hot coals for four (4) minutes on each side. Make sure not to over cook. Remember paprika has a tendency to burn if cooked to long |

The same effect can be achieved on the range top by using a slightly greased skillet. Cook the talapia on medium-high for four minute on each side. I like to serve my blackened tilapia with cheese grits. Southern comfort food at its best.
